At Starfest we like to tackle the big issues head on, and this year we will dive into some deep, Dark Matters.  Of course, we will not forget about the Dark, which of course Matters.  Without it we can't see the night sky.

But Dark Matter is a different matter entirely!  Dark matter doesn't absorb, reflect, or emit light!  How do we know if it is even real?  Might Dark Matter be a delusion?  Can Dark Matter be proven to exist?  Can it ever be observed?  Why do we need Dark Matter and Dark Energy to describe the Universe?

The study of Dark Matter seeks to explain the mysteries of the universe by exploring the unseen, enigmatic substance that makes up roughly 27% of its total mass-energy content, influencing the formation and behavior of galaxies and cosmic structures.
